ScriptAssist® Medication Adherence

Improving outcomes and compliance through a proven, award-winning program.

Medication nonadherence is a significant healthcare problem, with numerous studies confirming that it directly correlates to poor clinical outcomes and excessive healthcare costs. With nearly 50% of patients not taking their medications as prescribed, nonadherence is prevalent, wasteful and problematic. ScriptAssist is the innovative, award-winning medication adherence program from EPC that supports and advocates for consumers, their treating providers and healthcare payers. The result? Improved health outcomes, bettering individuals’ lives and lower healthcare costs despite increased drug spending.

The costs of medication nonadherence in the U.S. are estimated at $100 billion to $300 billion annually.1

We have a solution.
More than 98% of individuals agree to participate in our ScriptAssist medication adherence programs.2

Addressing the Root of the Problem

We understand taking prescription drugs can be confusing, inconvenient, frustrating and overwhelming. That’s why our comprehensive program optimizes adherence through engagement, motivational interviewing, education and early identification of nonadherence risk. Our expertise encourages those you serve, particularly “resistant” patients, to take greater ownership of their health.

Using Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing techniques, we connect and engage via phone. Patients receive assessments, education and support by trained health professionals—who establish future touch points and help patients take an active role in their care plans. In many cases, we are available 24/7 for them to call and speak directly with someone who is knowledgeable about the drug they are taking.

A Seasoned Partner

Our combination of experience and training in the designated diseases or conditions allows us to guide patients and healthcare providers based upon proven methods, the targeted disease state and specific prescription information. We also know that calling at just the right time can be critical—so through data trending, we identify the patient demographic being served by each ScriptAssist program. We’re strategic with staffing and patient time zones when we contact your population. Nurses also communicate any identified adherence issues to the patient’s medical provider or health plan for follow-up as agreed upon with each client.
